Brendan Laney
A licensed attorney fluent in Japanese and Mandarin Chinese, Brendan graduated from Arizona State University cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Asian Languages majoring in Japanese. After graduation, he spent four years with Mazda Motors in Japan as a translator/interpreter.
In China, he recruited and managed a team of Chinese translators that rendered interviews and website content into professional Chinese, acting as the final editor before publication.
After graduating from DePaul University’s College of Law and spending several years at a Chicago Customs & International Trade Law firm, he has spent the last 10 years working on complex Asian language discovery and translation projects, providing litigation teams and corporate clients with translations and analyses of Japanese and Chinese documents .
