A licensed attorney fluent in Japanese and Mandarin Chinese, Brendan graduated cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Languages, majoring in Japanese and Chinese. After graduation, he spent five years in Japan with Mazda Motors, working as a translator and interpreter. 

 While in China, he recruited and managed a team of Chinese translators responsible for translating interviews and website content into polished, professional Chinese. He also served as the final editor, reviewing the translations before publication.

  After earning his law degree from DePaul University College of Law, Brendan spent several years with a Chicago law firm specializing in customs and international trade. For the past 20 years, he has focused on complex Asian-language discovery and translation projects, providing litigation teams and corporate clients with translations and analyses of Japanese and Chinese documents.
